Picture Project Post--March 6 through March 11

I've been especially busy this week, preparing for guests (hooray!) and training for Polaris. I do my first overnight shift on Monday, March 16th. It's going to be crazy, but I'm excited (and nervous!).

Luke and I went skiing last weekend. I'm tempted to do a whole skiing post. I got some good pictures and we had a lot of fun. We went to 7 Springs in Pennsylvania. It was so quiet there! We didn't hear a siren the whole time...a huge contrast from our little apartment in NE DC. Driving through PA we were pretty excited to see these several times on our journey:

Wind farms! And lots of them! I haven't done my research yet, but I'm curious to know how much energy they supply and to where. I've never seen wind farms so close up. It was interesting.

Well, perhaps there will be more on our trip later. Along with information about the promisingly wonderful weekend ahead with Liz, Katie, Jenny and Kevin. Nope, I'm not excited at all =)

Here are this weeks pictures!

March 6, 2009: As mentioned above we left to go skiing at 7 Springs. This is what we saw when we were unpacking the car--the slopes! It was really icy that weekend, but beautiful and warm. And almost all of the slopes were still open, so I got to ski a lot of greens =)

March 7, 2009: Skiing in the morning. While we were there we also went tubing (it was included in the package). It was really great because there were greens and blacks at the top of the same chair lift, we we would ride up together and then ski down different slopes and meet at the bottom.

March 8, 2009: We skied some in the morning and then headed home to 75 degree weather. Luke put on some shorts and I put on some sandals and we headed out to watch the Heels whoop up on some Dookies. Hooray! =)

March 9, 2009: I've gotten pretty good at drawing anything that has wheels on it. Though today Henry was particularly keen on things found at construction sites (I shouldn't have read him Richard Scary's "Things that Move" book). Good thing he isn't too picky.

March 10, 2009: Luke was gone Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on a business trip to St. Louis, so my little puppy kept me company in bed on Monday and Tuesday nights. He's not at warm or cuddly as Luke, though, so I was happy Luke came home last night.

March 11, 2009: I love walking to Polaris Project because the place where it's located is lined with row houses, gardens in tiny plots in front of the row houses and lots of people with dogs walking around. It brings happiness to my heart.

That's all for this week! Did I mention that I get to see my sisters in 7.5 hours?!? Have a good weekend!
